Join Us at the State Capitol for Toni Morrison Day 2025
Next Tuesday, February 18 at 1:00pm EST, we will be holding a press conference celebrating Toni Morrison Day and the right to read.
This is a chance to send a message to our state legislators that authors, teachers, and librarians are essential to a healthy society, and that they should not attempt to ban books that help all members of that society. Here's how you can help:
1. Go to the Right to Read Ohio Facebook group, and write a short love note to librarians in the comments for today's post about Library Lovers Week. We will add it to the Toni Morrison exhibit.
2. Join us at the Statehouse in Columbus on Tuesday, February 18, 1:00 in the George Washington Williams Room on the first floor for the press conference. Show them we care! The exhibit will also be there Feb 18-19, 9:00-2:00, so be sure to stop by and say hello.
